I pick up 4 sapphire gems today and they were labeled as straight run. I didn’t get to choose or see them until i got home and now I believe I might have 3 roosters. Three have lighter spots on their heads (salesperson didn’t know age, I’m guessing 2-3 weeks?) and their feathers look barred compared to the one who is a solid color with solid color primaries. In the “group photo” I am wondering if the 3 on the left are roosters.

All the ones I can see look like hens...? Do you think you could get a clearer pictures of them all? I can't see most of their tails! Although a little two young to judje. Anyone else going to c'mere and take a look-see?
First two pics are of the “female”? Second set of pics show the spot on the head and barred feather the other 3 chicks share. Maybe it’s too soon, but I always start to panic when I think I have a rooster (it hasn’t happened in 13 years) and now I might have 3!

What are the chances the store will take the males back being that I didn’t get to look over the chicks in the store? I should have been more aggressive, but I was thinking more of not stressing the chicks out and getting them home and under a heat lamp.

I believe you have 3 males and one female. Sapphire Gems are sex linked, meaning if they have a white spot on the top of their heads, have barring on their feathers, and are generally darker in color, they are males

Chances are pretty slim. Stores dont take back chicks, even if you bought pullets and end up with a male. You bought straight run.
