Hens pecking out of control

My hens have a feather plucking problem. Not all are affected, about half. I read an article that said to put tree pruning spray on the bare spots. Is that safe? My girls have a large outside area to roam around in. I give the free choice feed and feed them fresh greens and scratch. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I would use Blue Kote. Would also rehome/cull the pluckers. Just my opinion.

Can you still eat the eggs after spraying chickens with Blue Kote?
