I have been looking for information and started reading about letting my female sit and raise her chicks. I have separated her from the rest. But I can't find the answers I am looking for..

When the baby's are born.....

1. Does the mother feed them or should I put out Starter feed? (pretty much the same feeding schedule as I did with my adults)
2. When I ordered my Chicken's from Murray McMurray I have had them treated for Merak's Disease and Coccidiosis. My question is how do I treat these newborns?

I know I have other questions, but can't think of them at this time.

If anyone has any info, please pass it to me..

Thank you
Alice

You will need to provide chick starter for the chicks and make sure they can't get into the adult food. I'd recommend leaving food out for them if possible. The adults will eat it too, but you can provide oyster shells to supplement the adult hens to boost their calcium. As for the vaccines, you can order them from First State Vet Supply and some feed store and local vet supply stores will carry them.

I Always put chick starter in a feeder and keep it full. The chicks should be able to eat as much as they want when ever they want. Also make sure you have water where the chicks can reach it, but also make sure they cant fall in & drown. They are drawn to the water.
As far as the hen goes you can feed her in a feed cup up on a roost to keep the chicks from getting to her food. But the hen will do almost all the work for you. As much as we think they need our help, nature has a way of getting it all taken care of.
Good luck with them.
