Hello all,
A curious question for you. I have been down to the coop a number of times after dark that last few weeks and I have noticed 4 of my hens huddled in the corner of the uncovered run. Not sure if they spend all night out there, but it seems like they might be. Meanwhile, inside, the roost is occupied by the other 8 chickens. There is not much space left on the upper roost (where they obviously like to roost) but there is tons of space on the ladder and on the floor.
Any ideas, and should I be worried about this? There are no visible signs of distress or problems and the 5 laying hens are giving about 4 or 5 eggs a day.
