We have 4 15 month old red mix hens that were giving us 3-4 eggs a day all winter long up until we introduced 6 new pullets to the flock in May. (they were introduced through a fence for several weeks before we put them all together) We put the new ones in at night and the next morning no eggs. They have now been together for a month and still no eggs. I think some of the new ones will be laying soon by the looks of their combs. Does anyone know if that might encourage the older ones to start laying again or have any ideas what we can do so I don't have a bunch of free loaders?
