2 of my girls just starting laying eggs but 6 more should be right around the corner BUT they both use the same box.....so we are getting very limited eggs. once all the other start laying eggs and it becomes a more productive will they all sit in different boxes?

I don't use separated boxes it's one box that they all share because I noticed with chickens, it's monkey see , monkey do! But I'm sure if they feel they want privacy and you have other boxes available they will pick which ever they want. But using one box does not limit egg production so it's fine if they want to share.

I have 10... yes 10 boxes.... 12 active layers... they will stand in line and "gripe" about the 3 boxes being used. I really should get a picture! The one IN the boxes will yell back at the ones in line! It's quite comical! Have found a stray couple eggs here and there, but that's because many are new layers. They will wait if they have to...LOL
So, now worries! Either theyll wait, or use a different one.
