I have a 5 hens that have been in the coop and run for over a week. I have propped the door open for 2 days straight during the day and they never see the world. Is this normal? How long can it take?

It's probably overwhelming to them. It will help if you set them outside until they go out on their own.\

They're just being smart chickens. They know the coop is safe, they don't know about outside. Plus, they know they're at the bottom of the food chain!

You can just give them time. If you want, try tossing some scratch just in the door, then just outside, to tempt them out. But I think time is the best thing.
