Hi there. I wanted to share the success we are currently having using a topical herbal mixture on a very deep, infected dog bit wound. It's called "Golden Yellow" and the main ingredient is turmeric. I got it from my vet, but there are online sources for it as well. I think you can get it in powder or wet form. Google "golden yellow poultice" or "golden yellow powder." I'm convinced that my chicken would have died without this stuff and will keep some in my first aid kit from now on.
