My chicks are three and a half weeks old. We have a lot of herbs in our garden and I just trimmed them down. Are they old enough to eat some oregano? Sounds silly to even ask, but I just don't want sick chicks. They have been eating chick grit for over a week.

A little bit would be fine. Don’t let them get addicted to it though, you might have a ruined garden and some fat chickens if you do.

i have lots of herbs for mine, parsley, spearmint, oregano, sage, lettuce ( eventho its not an herb), thyme dill, and basil. they eat it all! i am also growing salad mix of sprouts for them. i give them oats too. and for some odd reason they love the cornmeal i give them. the corn meal is like chicksized grits

They ate the oregano a little, but were more scared of it than anything. I gave them mealworms as a treat instead and they went bonkers for it, as usual.

mine love herbs as well, but their favorite by far is lemon balm. When I first got them I put lemon balm and lavender leaves (just one or two shredded up) in the brooder to help with the transition and to settle them.

Now I routinely give them oregano, basil, parsley, lemon thyme, cilantro, rosemary ... they seem to enjoy that and clover as well.
