Not sure about where you all live, but here we haven't had rain since the end of July, until yesterday (7-24) so it has been really really dry here, also even my garden burnt up even after we emptied our 4 water barrels on it. Well, I sure am glad I harvested early, well before the heat wave,,,,,,so...........................................anyways..................................

While driving down the road with my family on the way back from eating out at Golden Corral (my favorite restaurant) we came past the Axron rescue Squad building and seen this sign......

LOL...........................hey, if you have a funny sign, post it here.

haha that's funny...it's been really hot up here, too!

My whole lawn is completely dried out and is no longer that nice fresh green color. Now it's more of a gross green/brown color...

Not pretty... -_-

It looks like it's gonna rain here today, though! Hopefully it heads down your way, too!

And here I am complaining about the cold, wet day we had... Hope you get some rain soon!
The funniest sign I've seen so far was an old road sign warning about a rough road ahead. It advised motorists to "remove dentures".
I'll see if I can find you a pic.

I have WHAT in my yard? :

It snowed 7 1/2 feet in Chile on Friday!!

I watched 'Day After Tomorrow' yesterday
This made me think of that

We're in the worst drought since the thirties here. We've had basically no moisture since we had 3 inches last september. Even the 19 inches of snow we got the first part of february melted down to less than an inch of moisture. We are getting ready to start selling off part of our cow herd since the grass is gone in the pastures and we aren't able to grow enough feed to feed them thru the winter. Dryland corn here was a total loss and the soybeans will be if we don't get some good rains soon. Some areas of Kansas have recieved nice rains, but not here.

I feel sory for you, Katie.

Thanks god, we had rain for 2 days. The woods were so dry, that I was scared to death. It is amazing how fast the lawn got it's green colour back. But the next heatwave is annoced for the end of the week.
By the way, it is really bad, when you are in a truck by 105 degrees and your favorite radio station plays Christmas Music.............made me think to switch the station lol
