Here is my coop, so far

here is the progression that it took today, it was started at about 830 this morning and they finished up about 630. It still has to have alot of stuff done to it but i am so excited to see it getting done, i was worried that i would have full grown chickens laying eggs all over my house ,lol before the coop was done,lol

It looks great! Very good progress for one day! I know what you mean about the excitement of seeing it getting done - I keep going and looking out the back window at mine just to make sure it is still there I guess

Oh that is so great! It looks fabuous! How cool that you accomplished so much in one day.

I am in the position of having full grown chickens still living inside! When I read that, I laughed out loud! I hope these chickens are not laying eggs inside my house before the coop is ready. Eeek!

Our coop hasn't been delivered yet. We have 7 week old chicks (chickens now, really) sleeping inside in their brooder each night, and going outside during the day.
My husband agreed he would have the coop ready by the time they were 6 weeks old. He ordered a kit and it hasn't arrived yet. Oops.

Well done - Can't wait to see the completed coop!

Thanks everyone, it is weird what makes me excited,lol, and seeing the coop on its way makes me excited,lol. Jen71 i hope your coop gets there soon,lol. i was worrying and my chicks are only 3 weeks old,lol. Merryberry,lol, i keep looking out at mine too,lol.

Thank you everyone i am very proud of my hubby and my dad for the work they have done thus far, i am ssssoooooo excited to see the finished product too, i cant wait.

I know how exciting a project like that is. We started building this weekend. Not as far along as you are though!!!

Nice looking coop. How big is the run going to be?, Are you building the egg boxes inside or adding them to the outside?

Debob we are going to put the nesting boxes inside so i am going to need my hubby to build a large ramp so that i can use it to get in and out,lol. The run i am not sure how big it is going to be, we are thinking that it is going to come out on the one side of the coop and i am going to take it all the way down to w here the tree is in the pic, i dont know exactly how big it is. We have 14 possible hens

edit to add that you cant see the tree i am ta lking about in the pic,lol. i will have to find out how many feet long it is
