hey guys, so my main reason of join is to learn. So please forgive ignorance with some things.
I've had chickens off and on. Learning from mistakes as I go (major predator problem) but currently have two juvinile hens, one pure arricana (sp?) hen that I hatched out with another mix (they are the only two surviving after a major one night raid from raccoons). With them I have a red n black rooster and two mix adult hens. Planning on expanding their coup without complete free range to prevent more predator activity.
I also have a quail pen I set up over a year ago. Got my first quail as eggs from Amazon lol. Mix of jumbo cotornix, Japanese, and something else. Anyways, a few months ago I kept a few eggs and incubated them. After culling some males I now have total 9 female and 2 male in the pen.
