I looked at it on featthersite and thats what I based my opinion on. Do you think thats a breed that would be at a feed store?

From my meager experience, your roos would not be considered good quality silkies. i don't know all the specifics, but primarily, they don't have the nice large crests. But that doesn't mean they can't be perfectly nice pets.

If you want to find new homes for them, i've always had good luck posting on craigslist. i take some cute pictures, then put them under the Pet category and talk them up as super sweet, rather then simply selling them under the Farm and Garden category. Sometimes i have had to post several times, and i am really picky about who gets them. But i've been lucky to find good homes for them all.

Anyhow, good luck!

Thank you for your reply. I thougt myself that they were not very good examples of the breed. Lol, thats what I get for being excited and inexperienced. Lesson learned. I'll try that on CL.

No, Tuzo would not be found at feed stores or at a hatchery. Your rooster looks a lot like my bantam cornish rooster, except that mine is blue laced. He does not resemble the fat squat things I've seen in pictures of cornish. I'm assuming it's because he's from a hatchery and he's spent his life free ranging instead of stuck in a cage.

Yeah he was free range to the ladys too. He's pretty rough and he's bitten me. I don't like him too much. lol. He's a pretty guy though. He's in a cage in the picture cause I plan on trading him with a friend. Having him in a cage makes him easier to catch. He's a crazy little devil:D

Same here, if I have to catch him it's only at night but the sucker can see in the dark I swear! lol He's wild as a march hare, he is!

Makes the awfullest noise when you catch him too, you'd think he was being tortured.

Yours looks in great shape, hope you get a good trade out of him!

The cornish crosses are the squat "dead bird walking" images that most people think of when they hear cornish. He is a good hatchery example of a dark cornish. The white one with dark legs is probably an easter egger. #3 is yellow legged, probably not an EE, some big laying breed. Don't know much about silkies other than they are supposed to taste good

. Tuzo breed standard weight is about 4 pounds, if they are bigger than that they are not tuzo. Shamo....no way, look at those wattles...and the reason a cornish would throw aseelish characteristics is because the aseel was used to develope the breed in England. We won't tell Mr. Bender that you are saying his tuzo and shamo look like dark cornish....

That makes sence, thanks for the help. I've got them ID'd but, I sitll don't know what that buff colored one is. I figure shes some type of mix.
