I started my coop as many of the rest of you have. My coop will be 8x12 when finished and I'll be able to move it if I need to.
Here are the supports for underneath.

The bottom runner is 8' with the ends cut at an angle. The 4x4 uprights are 14.5". Then a 2x6 at the top with a 2x12 underneath that.
