Heritage=Broody?

I'm looking for a broody hen. Am I correct in thinking that I can get a more broody hen without changing breeds by buying heritage lines of stock?

Well, you will most likely have better luck obtaining broody hens with heritage stock, yes.

Look through Henderson's Handy Dandy Chicken Chart at www.Ithaca.edu/staff/jhenderson/chooks/chooks.html to look for breeds more likely to go broody.
