We are all too familiar with the Cornish Rock. Although the COBB Sasso strain may be a proper bird, growing slowly and not having health problems, the COBB 700 and 500 are fast growing with multiple health problems. The 500 and 700 are used for their white meat, broad breasts, fast growth, and feed conversion, but although this sounds good, these bird's life is horrible. I support those who use COBB Sasso. But there are other heritage breeds such as the Jersey Giant, which grows more than the cx. There are good egg layers like barred rock to substitute the typical White Leghorn or RIR/WR hybrid. There are even Kosher Kings, which are heritage hybrids which produce good meat and are appealing to look at. Freedom Rangers and Red Rangers are also reasonable substitutes. In this thread, people can ask questions and share their heirloom chickens

I think you're just in the wrong place for your target audience. There are several threads of this type in the Meat Birds, etc section.

Yeah.....and 2 hours is not really long enough to wait for a reply.
I asked mod to move this thread to Meat Birds forum.
