Heritage crosses for meat birds

Has anybody tried this cross?
Male White Jersey Giant &
Female White Leghorn
Would I get a fast growing big white chicken?

I've not tried that cross, but I do know that there are different kinds of white in chickens, dominant white and recessive white, and if you cross them, you get black birds.
YOu might be better off trying to make your own sex-links

I have 18 chickens, of about 15 different breeds, and I have to say that every time I see my SG Dorking hen run... I want to eat her.... I wouldn't anytime soon because she is part of my laying flock (I get 4 eggs a week from her) and she is stupid cute; but, she has the biggest double breast of all of my birds. There is a beautiful line that runs straight down her chest with these massive muscles on each side. It actually bobbles when she runs. Surprisingly, she came from ideal hatchery, so I'm surprised she turned out so well. I'll have to get a picture of her. I think I'll be ordering more straight run from them next time so I have some to save and some to eat.

Wow! I was lucky to get one a week from my Dorkings. They are sweet but mine is definitely not the brightest crayon in my flock.
