Just found BYC alot of good info. We are fixin to start a small flock for egg and pets. So we are completly new to chickens. So we are really thankful for all the posts here... Neill and Tammy

We want some that are very tame.. Plus eggs will be a + we are looking at wyandottes, orphs, austrolorps, we want two of each all hens no roos...

Orpingtons and Australorps are both very tame. I've had both breeds for years (still have them) and never had an agressive one of either breed. My children, and now my granddaughter, made pets of them. My Wyandottes were usually pretty docile, but I have occasionally had an aggressive one. Whatever breeds you end up with, good luck with your flock.
