Hi all,
My name is Tara and I live in New Jersey. I have a flock of nine RIRs, and am in love.... I'm trying to learn as much as I possibly can being that I am a first time chicken owner. My rooster lost his voice about three days ago, and now is sneezing and snotty. I've noticed a hen or two picking at his facial area. Also, I've heard a few hens sneezing. What do I do? I'd be devastated to loose One bird, let alone my entire flock. Thank you for any help you can offer.

you are in a gray area here.

more than likely your chickens have something that you will never fully cure. we just dealt with this on another thread:

i wish you the best of luck, i will keep an eye on this thread; keep me updated.

Hello :frow and Welcome to BYC! Good luck with your birds.

Hi again and thank you all for the guidance. Though I don't think putting my Roo and hens down is the answer I was looking for. I think I got a really bad taste in my mouth from your beloved Speckled hen. From here on out I think I will just read, and take what I can get that way. Thanks
