I just recently got 2 chicks. I'm in the process of building them a coop. The chicks are Rhode Island Reds. I am completely new to owning chicks. I only bought 2 to see how it will go and add to our herd later on if all goes well. Thank you!

Welcome to BYC! Have a look around the Learning Center for loads of good info on raising chicks, feeding the flock, keeping them healthy, etc etc. Enjoy the site!

When you are ready to add to your flock, read up on integration. You'll need to isolate the newbies first and then give all the chickens a chance to get acquainted (look but don't touch) before mixing them together.
