My name is Candy and have been into chickens for over 30 yrs. But there is always something new to learn. I have over 100 layers, 4 roosters a few turkeys and only one Guinea Cock left.. I have had some bad luck with critters and have gotten two loving Great Pyrenees to take care of things...it has made a big difference. I have had owls, mink, coyotes, hawks, rats, etc getting chicken and chicks and my guineas. Since I got these two dogs Buddy and Lucy a year ago I have had no problems...they even chase the hawks and owl away. They are amazing! I recommend it! And they are very affectionate pets as well. They love the snow! Dont be mean and keep them inside. They love the outdoors but will come in to visit. Just pups in these pictures.
