Hi, we are newbies to owning chickens and have just had a chicken hatch an egg....the most adorable little bundle you ever did see! So we are frantically making a predator proof little run for mum and baby to live in until the baby is big enough to go into the henhouse with the rest of the chooks. But in the meantime, we have noticed that another of one of our hens is sitting on 11 eggs......up the bush...no where near the henhouse and open to all kinds of predators. I'm wondering if we can also move the hen in the bush with her 11 eggs into the little coop with mum and baby? Can you forsee any problems that might occur?

I read some posts about moving hens with their eggs, but can't remember the details. If someone doesn't post here, try one of the other threads. I'm sure you'll find help.

yes move her. At night, move the nest and all, if the little coop run you are setting up gives the girls some elbow room, it should be ok,

if you could split it all the better.
