I'm very excited to have joined BYC! It has helped me with so many rookie questions and has been a very valuable resource. I'm a Texas gal with a TINY flock of two. I have two adorable Cochin bantams, one back named Baby because she let me hold her like a baby and sits in my lap while I do homework and one lavender bantam named Lady.

Welcome to BYC. These people on here sure can help you with questions. Cool looking birds by the way. Are all those eggs you are holding from those 2 bantams?

Yes. Those were the first eggs I collected. I was a chicken newbie and thought they would just lay in the coop until I found a dozen in the bushes one day.

Welcome to BYC. I'm sorry I don't know anything about chickens drooling, I never realized they could. I would guess they had some dental issues but, chickens don't have teeth.
I'm sure other responders will have a different take on this.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You're right, your Cochin bantams are adorable. My wife and I were both raised in Texas and we had some Buff Cochin bantams when we lived in Greenville, TX. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your Baby and Lady.
