1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I have had chickens for about 8 years. We started with 3… and then we went to the store to get food and supplies for them and due to chicken math we somehow had 9. And now over the course of the last several years we have fluctuated up and down but are holding at about 40 with half standard egg layers and half silkies for breeding project. I have dipped a toe in to the crazy chicken lady territory among my friends and family. So here we are! Hi my name is Lizzy and I have a chicken problem 
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 43
(3) What breeds do you have? BCM, SLW, Sapphire Gems, Araucana, Barred Rock, Olive Eggers, ISA Browns, Silkies(White, Black, Blue(standard and satin), Porcelain, Splash, Paint Showgirl)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? All the things fresh eggs having entertaining little feathered friends, hatching chicks
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Crafting, farming(our other animals), cooking, learning how to can, gardening, wildlife rehab and reading
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Regular small town adulting with animals eating us out of house and home living out our dream
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
been reading forum posts on here probably since I got chickens. And I wanted to answer a question cause I finally am knowledgeable enough to do so (woohoo!)
