Hello, I am new to raising chickens and I just got my very first batch of chicks from the TSC afew weeks ago. If you guys have any information on raising chicks I would love to hear it! I have been reading some of these forums and they are loaded with a lot of usful info!

I read alot, And right now its Raising chickens for Dummies. I have lived on a farm my entire life, most of the time we had chicken, but I too have learned so much from the people here. WELCOME!

from Missouri! And congrats on the new babies. Chickens are pretty easy, at lest to me they are. All you really gotta do is feed, water, clean their home, and of course lots and lots of love. Before you know it they will be grown. Then you can get more babies! Its so addictive raising chickens. I just moved up to getting ducks to.

Thanks for welcoming me guys!! My chickens have already grown so much and so FAST! I have a question though, we are going to be building them a coop soon and I was wondering if you were suppose to insulate it. I am from New England so it gets pretty cold in the winter.
