Hey there! First time flocker

Hi all! New flock keeper checking in from the Boise, Idaho area. I love this forum and have been learning SO much along the way!! We have 9 hens - 2 Smoky Pearls, 2 Americaunas, 2 Brown Comets, 2 ISA Browns and 1 Wayandotte (?). Anyhow, so far they are pretty happy flock. We refer to them as The Gilmore Girls and we are enjoying getting to know their personalities. Raised from chicks beginning March 2022. They began laying mid-July. So far we are getting between 6-9 eggs per day!! Built them a cute coop and fully fenced run, but we do let them out to free range late afternoon until they put themselves away, as well. Anyhow - howdy, hi, hello!

As a longtime fan of the TV show, I love the name Gilmore Girls and your very attractive coop/run. Also, hurray for keeping them safe but giving them the opportunity to forage and "go wild" for a while every day -- under your watchful care, no doubt.
