That's awesome. This way they'll grow up thinking it's "normal".
I, NOT SO SECRETLY wanted them for 30-some YEARS.
Now that I have them, all but one of my kids are out of the house, and frankly, they think it's a little weird.
In fact, the one who left for grad school right as I was moving the baby chicks IN has accused me of "replacing her" with chickens.

Shhhhh! I almost named one after her just to make her crazy!
I hope your family makes so many happy memories. I'm jealous I can't go back and do this with my kids when they were little.
