Hi! I'm Jillian from Indiana. I was linked to this site by an acquaintance and have been having lots of fun reading!

I have an order with Meyer Hatchery for 8 Mille Fleur Bearded D'uccles and 8 mottled Cochin bantams for the last week in March. I can't wait! My husband is going to build a coop for them, so all the coop ideas on this site have been really helpful.

I grew up with chickens and have raised many chicks, so I'm excited to be able to have them again. I've always had a soft spot for the bantams. When I was around six years old I got a bantam Light Brahma hen who I named Hennyetta. She was very tame, and I had lots of fun with her. She lived to be about 10 years old.

I'm looking forward to interacting with you all on the forum!
