I am falling in love with this site! I have learned so much!
First about me. I am nurse married to a fireman. We have three daughters. We bought our home in August 2012 & it came with a chicken coop! My FIL lives next door so he is sharing in our chicken adventure!

We are new to chickens so this site has been a life saver! We bought 7 hens (Amerucauno & Rhode Island Red) and 1 rooster (Americauno) from a friend's farm. They were an established flock so it's been an easy transition thus far! They are laying daily so we are very excited!

Can't wait to meet others & continue to soak in all you have to share! Thanks for helping us newbies!
