This is my first time raising chickens, but not my husband's and if he had his way...we still wouldn't have chickens! We have 5 ISA hens and an ISA/Ameraucana X rooster named Wilbur. He showed up in our coop one day...don't know who put him there.
Recently retired and moved to Tennessee and started a hobby farm (another thing my husband isn't fond of...farming). Don't get me wrong, he's not a mean man...just practicing his "retired curmudgeon". So between wrangling horses, chickens and the herd of cats (I used to run a rescue), we stay quite busy!
