Hiya! I'm new in here, so I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm EquestrianGirl. I'm not going to share my real name, age, etc. on here because I don't share my info online. But I will say I'm a Southern Girl, and I love my chickens! I have 5 Rhode Island Red hens (Lady, Baby, Sweetheart, Cleo, and Sunny), 2 Plymouth Barred Rock hens (Biddy and Henny-Penny), and my Plymouth Barred Rock rooster (Luna) who is my pride and joy.
Info on my favorite chickens:
Luna, my rooster, is definitely my boy. I can hold him, flip him over on his back, and rub his tummy. And he'll fall asleep in my arms. He is a handsome boy, and I love him to death.
Lady is my baby. She is bow-legged, and has to be kept separate from the other chickens because she is picked on. But she is loving, and trusts me completely. She now has a new buddy, so she stays with Biddy.
Biddy is my odd-ball. In the past week, she has decided she is a rooster, and I had to seperate her from the other chickens. She was attacking them, and my rooster. But as her pen was next to Lady's, she some how got in with Lady. But she has buddied up with Lady. She protects her, cuddles up to her at night, and makes sure she eats.
Those are my few favorites, but I love them all!!!!
