I am very new to keeping birds, but recently got a pair of pigeons. Additionally I also have a cockatoo. But other than that, I have always wanted to keep some ornamental waterfowl, namely species native to my home state. All Birds have always fascinated me.

Welcome to BYC!!! I keep ornamental waterfowl. It's one of the toughest things I've ever done, but I love it. I wouldn't change it for the world.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I am in Connecticut.
pigeons are really awesome birds MGG - I never knew how comical they could be! Mine love untying my shoes lol

PS: My ultimate goal would be to keep long tailed ducks (hence the name lol) I absolutely love the species, but Im not sure if they’re ever available or even legal anymore since they have suffered some declines.
