Hi chicken lovers,
I love this site and visit it all the time for advice and info, but have never thought to join. We are relatively new chicken owners with a flock of 10 lovely chickens (australorp, barnevelder, lavender araucana, wellsummer, plymouth rock and speckled, buff and light sussex).
We sadly lost three birds who flew out of the run to a fox. With our new guard alpacas and a netted roof, we're back on track and the boys and girls have never been happier. I don't want to upset the balance or risk illness by introducing new adults, so I'm looking to put some eggs under a broody hen (when and if I get one) to replace the breeds we have lost.
As I don't know when that will be, I'm looking for a regular breeder of barnevelders and blue australorps, so I can get some eggs posted asap if the time comes.
If anyone has a lead on where I might find a regular egg supplier, that would be tops!
Thanks!!
