My name is Heather i moved here to Mexico 7 months ago from N.C.
I am new to chickens for say. I was raised on a small farm when i was younger with chickens, cows, goats, pigs. I am now interested in raising chickens. I have gotten 7 hens and 3 roosters in the last 2 months. 3 chicks are hens 2 of them are stars 1 is a leghorn. 2 chicks are roosters 1 is a star the other is a rock. The others are older but am not sure how old as the man i got them from had no clue 3 of the older ones are leghorn and the other 2 are stars. I got a rooster last night he is 7 months old he is a longhorn as well.
I just found this site and am very excited as it has lots of information that is helpful in my venture.
I run a Torta shop here in Choula and do not really have alot of time to get away. I love nature and animals and when i saw a lady selling chicks a few months back i fell in love with them. They are the sweetest things. The follow me around like im there best friend. I am now leaving my husband in the store and im outside playing with the chickens
. The rooster we have just gotten is very protective and its hard to even get in the pen without him chasing me out the door pecking me to death that hurts!
