(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had chickens since 2014
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I downsized significantly when I thought we were moving, but now I'm rebuildingrebuilding. Have 11 right now
(3) What breeds do you have?
Light brahma, ameraucana, black copper Maran, buff orphington, rhode island red and jersey giants.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Having pets to love who also feed you.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Crochet, goats, light carpentry projects , sewing, gardening
ll us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a 3 year old and 9 month old who both love chickens andand helping me in the garden. I stay home now, but I spent about 10 years as a Biochemist. Enjoying life a bit closer to nature these days.
I actually joined because a thread explaining genetics (of sex-linked) was incorrect and that part of me is still strong and I can't handle inaccuracies....lol
