Hi Everybody! Cuddly chicken stories?

I'm a total newbie to the chicken game. I was recommended to come here by a few different people and the information collected here is phenomenal! I'm working on getting a backyard coop ready for 3-4 hens.

My husband took a little convincing, but I think he's finally on board. He is thrilled to produce some of our own food, his only issue: he thinks he hates chickens due to a traumatic incident as a child.

However what I'm learning here is that chickens can be very sweet, loving creatures. Give me your cute and cuddly chicken stories to help me show him they're not all meanies.

Well one of our barred rocks would sit behind my daughter and pick though her hair lol

They looked like monkeys

And one of our girls has always been scared of us (severely) and all of a sudden she has blossomed into a loving chicken and is even giving out sweetest one a run for her money. It's been a very welcomed surprised!

I think if you got baby chicks your husband would come around - they start out fairly harmless. As they grow hopefully his confidence will also.
