Hello everyone! My name is Ashley and I live in Southern CA. I got my first chickens a little over a year ago and have been in love ever since. My first 4 girls were Rhode Island Reds (2) and Barred Rock (2). In March of this year we added 2 Ester Eggers and 1 Buff Orpington. My hubby and I built our own coop out of pallets a few months ago and the chickies love it! Sadly, we lost one of our Easter Eggers to a raccoon a few weeks ago so we are down to 6 chickens in our flock.

My kids (6 and 3) and our cats (3 of them) love hanging out in the chicken yard and playing with the girls and I love hearing them every morning.

I'm really happy to be here!
