Hey BYC...so glad to be here. This site has been such a tremendous help with our new chicken adventure! We have one Silkie and one Wyandotte, both 5 months old now. We started out with 3, but one didn't make it unfortunately. We still have so much to learn and enjoy. Can't wait

Hey DobieLover...we are Dobie lovers too!! And so happy our 5 year old male Doberman decided he didn't care about chickens in his yard...so now we can free range them! It was such a surprise to have this happen because, at first, he was high prey drive staring and stalking them while they were in a pen. Our pug is actually more trouble because she starts to chase them just to get to their droppings and chow down! I say chase, but with our lazy pug, it's more like just walking over to them and sniffing around. It has been a lot of fun and work and interesting days with all our animals here!
Do you have dobermans with your chickens?
