Hey everyone! I am a new member and I have been raising chickens and ducks for a couple of years!
I got my first little flock a couple of years ago from my younger sister, they were moving out of state and they wouldn't have the space at their new place. Right now I have 7 chickens, 3 Rhode Island Red Roosters, 2 RIR Hens and 2 Colombian Wyandotte Roosters. I also have 13 Khaki Campbell Ducks 2 Drakes and 11 Females. They are all so much fun and have such different personalities, they are such silly little ones, I love raising them all. I am a Native American artist so I also do a lot of beadwork, basket making, and I am hoping to expand our little flock to include some Rio Grande Black Turkey babies too! I just purchased my own farm and am so excited to bring my babies there, we also have a family dog (4 year old Great Weimaraner) biggest goofiest pup on the planet. I would love to learn more about raising my babies and I am hoping to also find a good loving home for my roosters, I have been hatching and I have too big of a heart to ever "get rid of" the males.
I am trying to rehome my Roosters, they have great sweet personalities but they do like to mate and I only have the 2 hens so I hope I can find a good home for them soon.
