Hi, I thought I would introduce myself (I did post a thread last night about sexing my chicks and am made up with how welcoming you all are).
My name is Debbie and I have kept chickens for 3 years now - it started as a school project, we hatched some chicks, kept them at school and looked after them there for a while. But sadly the interest was lost and it was only myself who cared for them.
So I brought them home - 4 lovely little Pekin Bantums. (My husband was in shock for a little while).
My Hubby then made them a much bigger run in our garden - will post a pick.
The following year at school we hatched more chicks as part of our topic in class. I then kept two of the chicks and added them to my flock. The rest went to a lovely farm - so all good.
And now I have two more little chicks at my house who were the only chicks to hatch out.
Took some convincing but my hubby said I can keep them.
Now I am really worried as one looks very Cockerel. But I am going to wait it out as long as I can. They live in my house at the moment as they are only tiny.
I have two daughters who adore the chickens and carry them around and give them lots of cuddles when ever they can.
So that is me!
Oh also I have no idea what kind of bantums each one is - they are all different so I will pop a post on with pics. Maybe some of you lovelys might help me out x x x
