Hi everyone

I'm new, both here, and to raising chickens. I'm actualy getting my first 2 dozen chickens next week. The coop is almost done. I live in central Alberta, Canada. Hoping to have a full self sustaining homestead someday.
Welcome to the forums. :welcome.. That's a good start. I hope you can finish the coop soon. Those chickens and chicks need to be housed soon.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

Good luck with all your poultry projects, if you have any questions along the way, be sure and ask. Welcome to our community! :)

Welcome to Backyard Chickens, the pulse beat of the chicken community. Wow, Alberta has some very severe weather. What breed of chickens are you getting? Chanticleers were bred to survive the climate and have flat laying combs that are more frostbite resistant.
