I just joined but I've been reading the site for a while now. I live in Michigan and I'm just starting out raising birds and other animals. So far I've got eleven chicks (ameraucanas, silkies, and silver laced wyandotte), five ducks (pekins), and one lop rabbit. We'll soon be getting some brahmas, some blue swedish ducks, some guineas, and some quail. I'm pretty handy and enjoy building things for the birds. I'm currently working on a chicken coop and run. I previously converted a dog house into a duck house for the pekins. My next projects are some more brooding boxes, a hutch for the lop, and a drainable pool for the ducks. We'll probably be adding sheep to the mix next year, and I'm sure more birds.
