Hi!

I own 7 chicks! 3 roosters and 4 hens!I would love if you guys will help me out and be patient while I struggle with navigating around! I hope we can become great friends here on BYC!

I want to learn everything I can about chicks because mine are about 2 weeks old! I want to build a coop for them and I need some plans! Does anyone know how to get your chicks to not be scared half to death by you? It's a big problem with my chicks. When I change their cardboard box out I put them in a different box and that box is pretty small! They poop a lot! I have to chase them to catch them! by the way, is it regular that the poop is really wet and watery? My chicks poop is really watery! Please help!

You probably don't have a poop problem. it is watery a lot. look at there buts and make sure they don't have "pasty butt", or swollen, protruding butt. if all looks ok then don't worrie about a little runnyness.

Chicks poop should not be really runny all the time, it may occasionally be. Are you feeding them regular chick starter? Are they acting and looking fine?
