I have recently joined and just wanted to say 'HI'! Im a new chicken keeper with 6 chickens and 2 ducks who free range around my garden! Never knew chickens could be such characters and enjoying every minute, my 2 daughters spend every waking moment they can with them and want to start showing them, they are 3 and 5 years old!

Glad you could join the flock! Yes chickens can be very interesting characters!! I love sitting out with mine and watching them going about their business they are just so funny. I have polish and only let them out to free range when I can supervise as they get lost easily. The roo was trying to keep the ladies in order and they were just ingnoring him he was clucking all over and trying to check where everyone was, it was very funny.

So glad you could join our community! Congratulations on your new chickens and ducks. I've never kept ducks before (only chickens), but have always thought that it would be fun. Chickens can certainly be very entertaining! I love watching my birds interact with each other and the environment.

Showing chickens is an excellent educational experience that I'm sure your daughters would enjoy.

Showing the chickens sounds like fun. Our kids showed their cat yrs. ago. They loved it,
