Hello everyone, I've been reading this forum every now and then for years, now that I finally can have birds I decided to register :)

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes I'm new to chickens, I've always been fascinated by birds and by chickens (and jackdaws) in particular, but I've lived in an apartment for the first 25 years of my life and in a house with a tiny backyard (like 15 m2) until a few weeks ago..

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 4 sweet and very tame old ladies (around seven year old), inherited from the previous owner of the house I bought.

(3) What breeds do you have?
That's a good question.. I'll post a few pictures and maybe someone will help identify them

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
To be honest, I don't remember.. I'm pretty sure I was googling for some info about chickens

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Many, let's say videogaming, fitness, and guitar playing. Oh and reading, I love reading good books.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Born and raised in Milan (Italy), moved to the Netherlands to live with my g/f (now my wife).

Here's a picture of my hens

They are still laying, 23 eggs in 21 days to be precise!
The former owner couldn't remember for sure but thought they were about seven years old, to be honest I'm amazed they still lay this much at that age.

They're incredibly sweet and docile, they all eat out of my hand and are very comfortable around me, they don't let me pick them up or pet them (yet) and I don't want to force them of course.
