The wife and I got into chickens a couple months ago. Got 6 chicks (hens) from TSC along with their entry level coop.

Things are going well so far. My wife has done a lot of research but we are by no means experts, if anything we're flying by the seat of our pants.

I will attempt to post some pictures of the brooding box I made and the coop with current fencing situation, along with the ladies of course.

Good looking brooder box and nice coop. Welcome here this great place to learn. Question is there a top to their run? Looks like she could fly right out?. Good looking mixed flock by the way.

Wife did research on clipping their wings, or one wing, so we did that.

The pic with the red hen on top of the coop was day one of putting the fence up.

Wife asked if she should go ahead a clip the wings and I was like ahhh let's give it a week or so and see how they act.

Half an hour later the red hen was on the roof of the coop lol. The next morning my wife clipped them all and we haven't had any problems since.

They can only get a couple feet in the air. Fence is 3.5 - 4ft high.
