(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Ive had chickens basically my whole life! I love off grid, and my parents and family and I have almost always had some birds for eggs and friends!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 8 hens currently. Recently, a coyote attack killed many of our birds, and all of our ducks.
but, I cherish and protect the ones we have still!
(3) What breeds do you have?
Many mixed breeds, but some wyandottes I know are not mixed!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Caring for animals is what makes me happy! I hope to be a farmer in the future, and birds have always been some of my favorite creatures!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Baking, cooking, crocheting, writing, and other kind of things!!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I love goats and want to have them in the future, but currently do not have the resources for it. I also have 4 cats abd two dogs, whom i love very much!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Reading forums when I searched fofor questions during bird research! I wanted some advice of my own, so I thought to join.

Glad you joined us. Sounds like you may be able to offer some advice to others as well. I like the idea of living off the grid.
