Having read this site for a while it was time to join!

My name is Thomas and my wife's name is Barbara. We started out with a group of five Bantams and have recently added four Swedish Hens. Currently we are building our 3rd coop. The first one was to small, the second one was just right for the Bantams and now the Swedish Hens get their own building. We live in Austin, so we are trying to make it comfortable for the chickens through our hot summer and cool winter.

Anyways, looking forward to learning from everybody!
