Hi!

My family and myself have started up our own breeding flock of Bantam Australorps. We are still going through the trials and errors of breeding. And we are still discovering what works and what doesn't for our lot. We are always looking for advice and some tips on how to raise healthy happy chooks. Lots of research, lots of asking questions! Hope to find some great advice here :)

Thanks everyone :) This picture is of our first bantam we hatched. Still quite small but will show another of our older girls. We love bantams!Full of character and just as hardy as theor full sized relatives and they are great for the kids. I also have bantam Columbian Wyandottes breeding quad who are almost old enough to start laying. One langshan bantam ( my sons chook) and we just bought a pair of barneveldas (just for their eggs not for breeding)but we are more focused on our 12 bantam Australorps.

Hi there, we are from Perth and we breed large blue and black Australorps. Australorps are a great breed, full of personality, great egg layers and they are absolutely beautiful. You have picked a great breed! There is an Australian thread called 'six states and that funny little island' so if you want to chat to some other Aussies that is the place to go. It is in the Where am I section of the forum.
