Hello Everyone!
Just joined up and thought i'd introduce myself. I couldn't really find an intro forum so hopefully this one's ok.

I'm 24 and am living in Brisbane, Australia and just about to get my first 2 chicks in about 10 days. I've been reading this forum for a little while and have already learnt a lot, but I'm stressing about building their coop in time.

A little more about me, I'm a photographer and shoot mainly real estate and also for the newspaper part time.

I just can't wait to have my chickens running around the backyard! Woo!

Anyone else here from Australia? It looks like this is mainly a US board.

Ciao!

G'day Mate

I am an Australian...but living in Colorado! This is a great forum...and I have met a number of aussies in here from all around Oz...and a few like me who now call the USA home.

Good luck!

Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcomes. I'm already learning so much from this board.
Although, is there a way to see the threads we've posted in, like a "subscribed list" they have in other forums?

Hi Jenlyn, I see you're from Florida! I was just there at the start of the year on a holiday. Actually we did a cruise in the Carribean and then drove up to New York City. Twas awesome!

Back to the chicks, I'll just be getting 2 to start with. Our landlord lives right next door to us, so we don't want to annoy them too much. We'll probably get an Isabrown and an Australorp X, but I'm not sure at this stage. Should I get two of the same breed?

- Vicky
